    Since its foundation, Lagostina has always used cutting edge technology. A true pioneer, the brand created the first stainless steel cookware as early as the end of the 1920s. Thanks to the use of stainless steel, known for its robustness and aesthetic qualities, Lagostina offered genuine Italian Art of Living to gastronomes.


    Before, but mostly after the war, the brand continued its research and try-outs in order to resolve the problems of heat diffusion at the bottom of pans. All of Lagostina’s know-how is concentrated on the cooking material bottoms. With the help of its Research and Development pole, Lagostina registered several patents through the years and imposed itself on the market as a real expert.

    THE LAGOPLAN  TECHNOLOGY:
    A Lagostina exclusivity using an innovative process: a thin liquefied strip of aluminium (obtained with high temperature) pressed at the limit of the steel base. The extreme fusion of metals and the finishing precision guarantee remarkable heat diffusion.


    THE TRI-PLY TECHNOLOGY (3 LAYERS) : HIGH COOKING PERFORMANCE
    This technological process is ideal for low heat cooking, thanks to its 3 layer-body which guarantee:
    - A perfectly uniform distribution of heat from the bottom of the cookware to its edges.
    - Complete cooking control
    - Tri-Ply is exceptionnaly robust, thanks to the 3 layers of Alu/Steel/Alu (preventing deformation risks)
    - Adaptable to all types of heat, recommended for  induction
